Kevin Wan Lum appointed as Deputy Chief Investment Officer

Crestone Wealth Management (Crestone) today announces the appointment of Kevin Wan Lum to the role of Deputy Chief Investment Officer (DCIO).

Mr Wan Lum will commence his role on April 26, 2022 and report directly to Crestone Chief Investment Officer Scott Haslem. 

Mr Wan Lum’s hire will further strengthen the 20- strong investment, product and services team. Michael Chisholm, chief executive of Crestone, said, “Kevin’s extensive experience working at Energy Super and LGIAsuper makes him a perfect fit for our team. Kevin’s intimate understanding of investment performance and strategy, private market opportunities as well as ESG integration, will help to provide additional experience to both our Melbourne team, as well as across the Crestone network.”

Mr Wan Lum joins Crestone with over 20 years of experience in financial services.

Before his role at Crestone, Wan Lum worked at LGIAsuper, leading the investment team most recently as Deputy CIO. He was responsible for the oversight of the fund’s investment performance and strategy across the full range of risk profiles and its ESG integration and sustainability goals.

Kevin also led the co-investment/direct investment program across property, infrastructure and private equity, including impact investment. Prior to that, he was Energy Super CIO - before its merger with LGIAsuper.

During his four years at VicSuper, he was also Head of Real Assets and Alternatives/Senior Portfolio Manager and Acting Chief Investment Officer at VicSuper. In this role, he lead the alternatives program reconfiguration, including global infrastructure and PE, domestic infrastructure and local and offshore co-investment programs.

Prior to joining VicSuper, Mr Wan Lum held several portfolio manager roles at Ibbotson Associates, Antipodean Capital Management and QIC, focusing on domestic and global equities, multimanager models and portfolio construction.

Mr Wan Lum said he is looking forward to joining the Crestone team.
