Your Role
Position Responsibilities:
Support the investment process
- Give input into LGT Crestone’s product list
- Assist in managing all aspects of multi asset investment strategies
- Provide support on daily portfolio management tasks including portfolio rebalancing, liquidity management, performance management, risk management
- Provide analytical and qualitative support to portfolio design and new model development
Support the Investment Advisers
- Understand the product offering and express to advisers in written and verbal form
- Assist with sales pitches with active and prospective clients
- Assist advisers in matching client needs with an appropriate consideration of factors such as risk tolerance, liquidity and return/income requirements
- Consistently bring LGT Crestone expertise and content to advisers and clients
- Position IPS value add across the firm
Data Collection and Analysis
- Gather and analyse data from various sources to support portfolio construction framework, ensuring adherence to established data governance protocols
- Apply statistical techniques to interpret and analyse complex datasets
- Recognise, assess, and interpret trends, patterns, and anomalies within key performance indicators across diverse data sets
- Filter and clean data to ensure its integrity for analysis
Reporting
- Integrate data insights into regular reports, supporting continuous improvement efforts
- Use analysis to identify opportunities for process optimisation and enhance business outcomes
- Assist with report preparation, contributing to quality management and ongoing analysis efforts
- Provide valuable input into model portfolio construction, including asset allocation strategies, fund research, and portfolio selection
- Support adviser services by contributing quantitative insights, tools, and analysis
Your skills & experience
Your skills and experience
- Experience in data analysis, investment reporting, or consulting within asset management, research firms, dealer groups, or funds management is preferred but not essential
- Strong quantitative research skills, including the ability to analyse data and contribute to asset allocation analysis
- Excellent organisational skills, with a proven track record of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth understanding of investment markets, asset classes, and portfolio construction
- Effective communication skills, capable of building relationships with clients and providing clear, actionable insights
- A collaborative approach to working independently and within team settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- A demonstrated passion for finance, investment, and continued professional development
Your qualifications
- A relevant undergraduate degree (e.g., BComm, BBus, BA, BEc, BSc, BApSci)
- Preferred (but not essential):
- Honours Year or additional postgraduate qualifications in Finance, Management, Commerce, Financial Planning, or similar fields
- Certification such as CIMA or CFA
- MBA, Economics, Applied Finance, or related disciplines
- Required qualifications for research authorship on published reports
- RG146 Accreditation required for client-facing interactions with retail audiences
